In the beginning, it was quite unclear what our role in this historic event would be. We were asked to provide all the transport of equipment, supplies, baggage and local tranport leading up to, during and even after the event. What it surmounted to be was a total of 12 days, 58 vehicles, 24 hour on-call service, and personally assisting the over 700 support personnel that preceeded the presidents arrival. Without a doubt, this was the largest and most important move we've ever had. Reguardless of all the security procedures and the large amount of resources required for such an event, we were able to handle it all. It took a total of 10 days to move everything into Oslo, and just 2 days to move it all out again. Everything went as scheduled! The highlight of the visit came when the presidents aircraft Air Force One landed at Gardemoen airport just outside of Oslo and we had 3 trucks and drivers on hand move the Presidents goods into the city. Watching the motorcade pass on the highway with our trucks and drivers being a part of it was something special for us. Only to repeat this once again when it came time for the President to leave the next morning. It was a true honor to be awarded this move and be selected to take part in this event. Of all the moving companies that could have been asked, it was Alfa Quality Moving that was given this opportunity. This meant that our local accounts trusted and thought enough of us to handle one of the most publicized events in 2009, and for that I'm proud and grateful to have been given this opportunity. After it was all done, the feedback though the U.S. Embassy from the White House staff was that this was one of the most professional, well run and best visit's they've ever had outside of the U.S. This compliment alone made it all worth it.
