CEO's reflections

2009 has been an exciting and very challenging year. We have seen an apparent change in the line of questions that our customers have been asking us, during this year. Today our customers want to know what is ”behind” the service they plan to buy. It is not only the price that is of interest. We can clearly see a tendency of questions corncerning quality as well as the price. It may be questions concerning Alfa Quality Moving’s work with education, follow-up and feed-back towards the companies we work with.

Our customers also show a great deal of interest in how we work with environmental issues. They want to know which standpoints and decisions we have been taking and what we do to live up to them. To speak clearly, promises and empty phrases are not enough for our customers. They want to know that we do something real for the environment. We see this as a positive tendency, because it is something we have been struggling with for a long time. It also gives us the opportunity to show what is behind the environmental work within our line of business.

In spite of the decreasing global removal market, Alfa Quality Moving had satisfying year. Our work with environmental issues and quality has helped us in negotiating new agreements and securing  several new assignments this year. We look forward to 2010 with confidence. Thank you from all of us for confiding in us during 2009. I also would like to take the opportunity to wish all our customers and partners a Happy New Year!

Yes we could!

 Barack Obama

On Friday the 9th of October, President Barack Obama won the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize. What did this mean to Alfa Quality Moving? Well it meant that the president of the United States was coming to Oslo, Norway on December 10th and we were asked directly by the American Embassy in Oslo if we were able to handle such a VIP visit and everything that came with it. To paraphrase the award winner, we answered ”Yes, we can!”
