How we meet the climate issues PDF Print E-mail
The climate issue is one of the most significant questions in our line of business and we do all that we can to reduce the emissions caused by us.

European removals
When it comes to our services, our possibilities to decrease the CO2-emissions lie mostly within european removals. Within our group, we do our utmost to increase the loading factor on our truck fleet. We estimate that an increased loading factor from today's level to 73% will give us decreased CO2-emissions close to 100 tonnes per year (calculation based on 2008's volume of goods). We have invested in a new planning system for european removals during 2008, this tool will give us the conditions to increase the loading factor.

Transporters
When it comes to decreasing the climate effects, our transporters play a key role. Together with our European transporters and Vägverket, we went through an extensive competence development in 2005-2006, within the frame of KMT project * . During 2009, we will begin a new venture, on optimising removal transports and decreasing the fuel consumption, together with our European transporters. This includes investments in a common Internet based system made for tracing vehicels, this will improve the follow-up of the fuel consumption. We will also continue with competence development for our transporters in Heavy EcoDriving.

Missions and office/storage management
Our focus on decreased environmental effects of our removal transports does not stop us from reducing the emissions from our other activities. Since a couple of years back, we have replaced our old vehicles with environmental friendly ones. Our truck fleet today contains 60 % vehicles which run on biogas or E85. In addition to to this, we have ventured on education in EcoDriving and video- and telephone conferences. When it comes to our properties, we continuously work to optimise energy consumption at our offices and storages. Since a couple of years back, we only buy energy labeled "good environmental choice" (Bra miljöval). These ventures have resulted in reduced CO2-emissions from our energy usage with 40 % from 2007 to 2008.
